We currently have positions available for
Master and doctoral students
Our research projects focus on integrative structural biology, biochemical and mechanistic investigations of virions, an important class of pathogens afflicting humans worldwide.
You will join a young research group at TUM Department of Chemistry and become part of a multi-disciplinary collaboration with scientists at TUM Medical Department (Klinikum Rechts der Isar). Your work place will be the Bavarian NMR center in a brand new research building with excellent facilities for biochemistry and NMR.
Technically, your project will involve an integration of biochemistry combined with spectroscopic and microscopic methods as well as computational approaches for structure determination. Previous experience in any of these fields is very welcome but secondary to commitment and a keen interest in learning these techniques.
The positions are open to students with a background in natural sciences.
